Successfully completed extensive scope of works while the site remained accessible to the public
The project included a substantial scope of works, which included demolition of existing infrastructure, roads and civil infrastructure, bulk excavation, detailed excavation, design and construction of retaining walls, roadworks, and construction of in-ground rainwater tanks.
These works had to be completed while maintaining public access to the facility, as it remained operational throughout the entire construction process. Chalouhi developed innovative solutions to maintain site safety, including the implementation of site-specific traffic management and temporary works strategies.
Implemented changes to original program and staging plan to allow for adjustments due to weather delay and site remediation works
Utilising our extensive experience in the civil construction sector, Chalouhi suggested strategic adjustments to the original program and staging plan, increasing the volume of work to be completed at the beginning of the project.
We reduced costs by avoiding fencing and barricading between stages, allowing us to simultaneously manage additional remediation works required throughout the project. This staging also allowed us to respond to significant weather events that caused delays, to minimise the impact of these delays on the completion of the project.
